Singapore Land Registry - Electronic Filing Pilot Phase

The Land Titles (Amendment) Act, Land Titles (Amendment) Rules 2003 and Land Titles (Electronic Lodgment) Rules 2003 came into effect on 9 June 2003. The legislative changes provide the legal framework for electronic lodgement of documents while other amendments clarify the law and simplify some procedures.

The pilot phase for the electronic lodgement of documents commenced on 9 June 2003 and involves 8 selected law practices. The pilot phase covers the lodgement of Caveats, Withdrawals of Caveats (Total or Partial) and Extensions of Caveats (Total or Partial).

Law practices not involved in the pilot phase can continue to lodge their documents manually.

All law practices are, however, encouraged to use the new forms that can be downloaded from 12 June 2003 at the SLA website.
